About this Project
This was an interesting build. The design was based on a steel portal frame construction. This means the roof goes up before the building which is a nice change from the normal method of completing all the structural work first. The intention was to show off as much of the steel frame as possible. Although it sounded easy, careful attention had to be paid to waterproofing the exterior brick walls at the vertical junctions of the steel frame. The end result is a bespoke home like no other, which will give its owner and future owners some bragging rights.
